Mather Hospital and Village of Port Jefferson Renew Sailing Rivalry to Benefit Pancreatic Cancer Treatment and Research

Port Jefferson, N.Y. – Sailing teams from John T. Mather Memorial Hospital and the Village of Port Jefferson will renew their friendly rivalry in the second annual Village Cup Regatta to benefit pancreatic cancer treatment and research.

The Regatta, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, is presented by the Setauket Yacht Club in collaboration with the Village of Port Jefferson and the Port Jefferson Conservancy and takes place on Long Island Sound off Port Jefferson. The first Regatta cup went to the Village of Port Jefferson.

Thi s year the Setauket Yacht Club will also sell a limited edition 2011 Village Cup Regatta commemorative pin. The $20 pin will be available at businesses throughout Port Jefferson and in the Mather Hospital Gift Shop. Proceeds from the sale of the pins will also go to pancreatic cancer care and research.
